Overview: this activity ranges for 5 and above and includes cognitive skills towards mathematics

Developmental Domain and Purpose: Cognitive skills like counting are included in this activity, With pizza toppings or counting the seeds of watermelon. 

Objective: Identify what food it is and the number of seeds or toppings are located. For counting pizza, what kind of toppings are on it? What are their favorite? The child will learn different types of food

The child will be able to count and can put numbers together

Materials needed- This project can be made with children or you can present it. Paper, scissors, and makers or crayons is all that is needed.

Procedure: Have different types of food in mind - Watermelon, cake, pizza, oranges, cupcakes, donuts, a bowl of fruit. Introduce the food and have a specific number to each item. Count the toppings and put them in order individually or you can give each student a food and have them put it in order as a grou[

Overview: This activity can be for children 5 and up and it also takes place outside. Science will be included as well as some mathematical, cognitive, and a little bit of science involved because of the baking and outdoor activity.

Developmental Domain and Purpose: Science will be included with the "baking", math will be included with counting the "ingredients", and cognitive thinking skills of baking a cake

Objective: Child will able to play outside and collect different items and learn about them. Child will be able to develop thinking skills of how to bake a cake with different materials

Materials needed- Outside activity to play at a park and playground. Collect items such as leaves, rocks, sticks, or dirt. 

Baking a cake is very simple and you use a small amount of  any type of materials.

Procedure: This activity can be a group one or solo. Introduce the idea of baking a cake and ask questions before sending the child of to find the materials. Ask what type of cake we are going to make, what flavor, and what decorations are needed. Then, before or after discussing, you can say that each item represents something, sticks can represent candles, rocks can be decoration, and sand can be the cake batter.

EXAMPLE: Outside for free play, children would collect the wood chucks in a bucket and that represented the batter. The sticks represented candles and the leaves were to decorate the cake.

Overview: This lesson plan ranges for all ages. You memorize lyrics, sing and you can add mini hand gestures or dance moves to the song. There are strong gross motor skills being developed with this activity

Developmental Domain and Purpose:  Physical development can be learned and taught when learning hand gestures and dances which help their gross motor skills. Cognitive thinking skills are brought into place too because of memorization.

Objective: Child will be able to develop dance skills and movement

Child will be able to learn memorizing

Materials needed: Any instrument 

Procedure: Find a song that you can make easy hand gestures and slowly teach your students. 

Overview: This lesson plan ranges for all ages. This activity gives creativity and can be a way to express themselves.

Developmental Domain and Purpose: This activity will help develop fine motor skills because of coloring and there is some intelligence being put into place because of the different colors being used and thinking about what goes in the drawing

Objective: Child will be able to be aware of different colors

Children can use coloring for many activities such as expressing ones self and relaxing.

Materials needed: Any coloring utensil for any canvas. Coloring on a canvas or in a coloring book.

Procedure: Gather materials and go to an empty setting. If you have an idea of a specific drawing assignment, introduce it. 

EXAMPLE: It was around Christmas time and for a drawing, i drew the outline of a Christmas tree and let the children draw whatever decoration they wanted to inside.
